Street Children Run for Fun

FUN RUN POSTERSTwenty-five kids under the care of the Cebu City Task Force for Streetchildren have sounded off their enthusiastic participation for the Fun Run program spearheaded by Metrosports Center and Club Ultima on Sunday, July 19.
The said run is being initiated for four consecutive Sundays at 5:30 am from Metrosports Center in Lahug this city and will end up at the confines of Club Ultima along Osmeña Boulevard. Part of the Fun Run’s proceeds will be donated to the Task Force which is being chaired by the city’s First Lady, Margot Osmeña.
Aside from a hearty buffet breakfast at the Café Glo that awaits all Fun Run participants, the street children will also be treated to a film showing experience at the tower’s 4D Theater which now features three 4D movies namely, Deep Sea Adventure, Dino Rampage and The Lost Island.
Individual or corporate group participants are required to fill up a registration form. With it come a waiver, a claim stub as entry ticket to the venue where the corporate Buffet Breakfast will be served and a Fun Run T-shirt to be issued on the day of the Fun Run. Registration fee is pegged at P350 per pax. Corporate participants may also avail of the Ten Plus One offer that Metrosports Center extends to its clientele.
Four barangay captains have fully extended their support to this cause. Capt. Mary Ann de los Santos of Brgy Lahug, Capt. Lorenzo Basamot of Brgy Camputhaw, Capt. Erwin Guanzon of Brgy. Capitol Site and Capt. Jerome Lim of Brgy Santa Cruz are providing their mobile tanods to man as on-the-route marshals. The presence of ERUF Foundation’s First Aid mobile facility for the duration of the Fun Run is also a welcome development courtesy of Dr. Pek Eng Lim.
The Metrosports Fun Run program sponsors include The Freeman, Smart, Pagcor, Lipovitan, Sunstar Cebu, Coca-Cola, ABS-CBN, dyAR and a number of individual donors who choose to remain anonymous.
